Impromptu ‘Pedalling to Pubs’ 2026 Pitstop

The 65th BII Pedalling To Pubs cyclists got off to a brilliant day 1 start, thanks to Steven Alton CBII and the BII team.

The first day of the 3-day ride started at The Murderers (Timberhill, Norwich) before stopping at The Bell (Rickinghall, Norfolk) and finishing at the Eleveden Inn (Eleveden, Suffolk).

Seeing as the route virtually passed Avani HQ we thought it would be rude not to cheer on the riders (including our own Michael Harper and Amanda Thomson), so we set-up an impromptu stop in the middle of the woods, providing the riders an unscheduled pit stop and the opportunity to enjoy a Lucky Saint or two.

The Pedalling to Pubs team has raised an incredible £97,000 for the Licensed Trade Charity and Only A Pavement Away, providing a welcome cash injection for both charities.

We think it would be amazing if we could help them exceed £100k!!, so if you have some spare cash burning a hole in your pocket, some loose change you can spare or you just want to support these very worthy causes, please do so via the official Pedalling to Pubs Just Giving page.

A big THANK YOU to Lucky Saint (for providing refreshing beverages) and to Kayleigh Poacher and BBC Radio Norfolk (for covering the ride).
