Avani Solutions is proud to support the LTC JOGLE PUB RUN as a founding partner

Leading industry charity, the Licensed Trade Charity (LTC) has launched an ambitious new fundraising initiative, the LTC JOGLE Pub Run. The initiative is designed to support the wellbeing of people in licensed hospitality, strengthen community connections, and raise vital funds for those in need across the sector.

In a first-of-its-kind challenge for the industry, the LTC JOGLE Pub Run will see participants take on an epic 900-mile relay journey from John O’Groats to Land’s End (JOGLE). The 30-day endurance event will run from Monday 13 July to Tuesday 11 August 2026, with the goal of raising £250,000 to strengthen LTC’s ability to support even more people working in licensed hospitality.

The initiative is organised by the Licensed Trade Charity in partnership with Strava, and is supported by headline sponsor Lucky Saint, alongside Avani Solutions, Thatchers Cider, and Star Pubs.

At the heart of the challenge, ultra-marathon runners will cover an average of 32 miles per day, with the longest stretch reaching an impressive 36.85 miles. Alongside the core relay, LTC JOGLE Pub Run Community Days will offer an accessible and inclusive way for people to get involved.

Hosted at key locations along the route by industry partners, these community events invite hospitality teams, local residents, and supporters to run, jog, walk, volunteer, or simply cheer participants on. With pubs acting as central hubs each day, Community Days will celebrate the vital role pubs play in fostering connection, promoting wellbeing, and supporting local communities, while the pre-arranged pub stops will provide rest, refreshments, and encouragement for participants.

To facilitate nationwide participation, the initiative also includes a virtual option. Supporters across the UK can take part by joining the dedicated Strava challenge, logging their miles, following the route digitally, and engaging with campaign activities online.

Joby Mortimer, Director of Charity Operations at the Licensed Trade Charity, said:
“We’re thrilled to launch this epic fundraising challenge. Not only will the LTC JOGLE Pub Run help us raise vital funds, allowing us to support even more people in the sector, it also creates an opportunity to bring communities together through a positive wellbeing activity, while highlighting the important social value of pubs.

There are opportunities to get involved whatever your running, jogging, or walking ability, so we encourage everyone across the sector to take part, every mile logged and every pound raised will make a difference.”

The LTC JOGLE Pub Run goes beyond physical endurance. It is a celebration of community spirit, a platform for promoting mental and physical wellbeing, and a vital fundraising initiative for those working in licensed hospitality.
